Vilaj Vilaj is the realization of model villages which integrate techniques and the most recent technologies of construction, environmental protection, as well as improvement of the living conditions of the human beings who have the biggest actual needs over the planet.

It is a way of promoting standards of quality of life, to elevate citizen and corporate responsibility, encourage education, humanize economic development and the economy itself, to have faith in the future, but especially to make this exercise viral.

The very first village to be made is in Haiti.

Indeed, the founding president of vilajvilaj, Mr. Luck Mervil, very known and involved celebrity, chose his native country for the first village.

The beginning of the works is planned for autumn, 2010. The village will be there to answer to a urgent need from the population which is homeless since the terrible earthquake of January 12th, 2010.

The village, which will have all the conveniences and will be integrated into a greater project, will be made from available raw materials in Haiti, and will involve the participation of Haitian in the construction.

The base material will be containers, which we find in a very big quantity on the island because the country imports a lot. These will be use as structure to the houses, offering to the Haitian population houses resisting as much to the earthquakes as to the hurricanes.

The project will not only allow to accommodate people homeless since the earthquake, but also to supply jobs to several thousands of Haitians which will participate in the construction of these villages, while giving them access to a state-of-the-art training.

A village can welcome from 5 000 to 25 000 persons, and will include spaces necessary for the Haitian life, such as school, garden, market, agriculture area. Furthermore, the technologies wich will be used will use an ecological and autarkic approach.

The whole project also plans a free zone which will offer working possibility to this uprooted population, offering them a quality of life and a possible future.
